Affordable Rentals
Units let at 60-80% of prevailing market rates with a preference for black South Africans
Self-Sustaining
Rental income covers all operational expenses, maintenance and debt servicing.
Relational Scale
The relatively small size of the block – 6 apartments – ensures long-term engagement and relational commitment.
Reinvestment Cycle
Post-debt surplus will be reinvested into new neighbourhood projects, including housing. These will be initiated by Odonata Neighbourhood Assets making it a simple and scalable model.

- The history of providing affordable rentals has been sustained and deepened by previous owners
- 11 tenants are currently part of the community, 60% have been there for more than 2 years
